Accident at TORONTO / LESTER B. PEARSON INTL ON (CYYZ) (Communication error, Collision on ground)
Summary
1996-02-26: C-FTOD was on pushback from Gate 106 by the maintenance crew. The tug driver didn't see the tail walker waving his arms signalling him to stop the push. The left wing of C-FTOD was pushed under the tail section of the second Air Canada B-747 (C-GAGC) which was parked at Gate 113. Both aircraft incurred scrapes on the underside of the tail and wingtop sections. There were no wingwalkers present for the pushback. Ops. impact -- unknown. From a TSB Initial Notification.
