Incident at TORONTO / LESTER B. PEARSON INTL ON (CYYZ)
Summary
1996-02-18: ACA412 was passed VFR traffic off to his left and 500' below. ACA412 subsequently received a TCAS RA on the same aircraft and climbed, jeopardizing the IFR separation with ACA339, inbound to Toronto at 8000' (approx. two miles and 400'), 10 nm south of Toronto. ACA412 advised visual contact with ACA339 but did not have him on TCAS. Ops. Impact -- unknown.
