Incident at Peterborough, Ontario - landed at Trenton, Ontario

Summary

1996-02-08: Aircraft struck a tree during an instrument approach at Peterborough after a flight from Quebec City. The aircraft received damage to the right wing and engine area which resulted in a fuel leak. The pilot declared an emergency and diverted to Trenton. Aircraft was leaking fuel from an underwing valve which was closed by Trenton personnel, but not before considerable fuel had leaked onto the ramp. No reported injuries to the one SOB. Ops. Impact -- none.
