Summary
1996-02-02: SAB539 was enroute from EBBR WOPAR direct SSM flight plan to ORD at FL350. DAL65 was enroute from EGCC STAFE direct SSM flight plan to ATL at FL370. Approximately 50 nm northeast of SSM, SAB539 was given direct SSM, 275 degrees at 10 DME direct JVC. For an unknown reason, SAB539 turned approximately 80 degrees left and conflicted with DAL65. DAL65 was given descent to FL330. Ops. Impact -- unknown. Investigation underway.
