Summary
1996-01-31: The pilot called the tower requesting a northbound departure from the Toronto (Buttonville) Municipal Airport (CYKZ). The altimeter reading was provided and the pilot was requested to ""advise when ready."" The pilot responded, ""Ready."" The tower was busy giving instructions to other aircraft and C-GNLE departed without a clearance. When advised of this, the pilot responded, ""Yeah, we just lift off!"" Ops. impact -- unknown.
