Incident at HEARST (RENÉ FONTAINE) MUNI ON (CYHF) (Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)
Summary
1996-01-30: The pilot failed to extend the landing gear on approach to runway 04 and performed a gear-up landing on the aircraft's belly and propellors. The pilot reported no aircraft system malfunctions. Two (2) pilots (both captains for aircraft type) were acting as crew; two passengers were also on board (one was an O.P.P. officer returning to Hearst and the other was an Earlton Airways in-flight medical attendant). No injuries to the four S.O.B. Damage -- underbelly antennas and propellors. Ops. impact -- runway 04/22 closed from 2200Z to 0130Z. ELT checked but did not activate.
