Incident at CNB9
Summary
1998-02-18: The aircraft was departing from runway 28 for Fort Lauderdale, Florida when a power loss in the #1 engine occurred, resulting in a loss of directional stability. The aircraft ended up on the edge of the runway at the 3,000 foot mark. There was a fire but it was put out by a snow bank. O.P.P., fire department and T.S.B. were notified. Ops. impact -- none. Four (4) S.O.B. -- no injuries. The pilot attributed the power loss to ice and inclement weather.
