Incident at Calgary, Alberta
Summary
1997-01-03: The pilot of CPB200 initiated an overshoot from runway 16 while on a two mile final due to an unsafe gear warning light. The pilot advised Tower and requested CFR on standby. The aircraft landed at 2337Z without further incident. There were 10 SOB. UPDATE: When the landing gear was selected down on approach, the left-hand gear of the Jetstream 31 did not indicate green. The crew initiated a go-around and entered a hold east of the VOR for the emergency checklist and manual extension. After visually confirming the left-hand gear down, the aircraft landed without incident. Maintenance discovered a faulty microswitch.
