Incident at Fort Smith, NWT

Summary

1996-12-24: The DHC-6 was inbound from CEL3 (Snowdrift) to Fort Smith when the pilot advised FSS that due to a power plant malfunction he had shut down and secured the right hand engine. The aircraft was landed safely. Company maintenance have replaced the fuel control unit. The aircraft was ferried to Yellowknife for a more indepth inspection.
