Accident at Pukatawagan, Manitoba

Summary

1996-12-24: The Beaver Air Services Ltd. Piper PA-31 Navajo, C-GERV, was departing from runway 15 at Pukatawagan, Manitoba on a scheduled passenger flight to The Pas. During the takeoff, the left engine reportedly experienced power fluctuations. The aircraft climbed to about 100 feet, then descended to the ground and came to rest in snow about 200 feet to the left of the runway. The pilot and the six passengers deplaned with no reported injuries. A TSB field team has deployed. More info to follow when available.
