Incident at Calgary, Alberta
Summary
1996-12-11: While attempting an instrument approach to runway 16 in Calgary, the crew encountered severe icing and elected to conduct a missed approach. After climbing to FL220 the crew experienced a double engine flame out. The pilot declared an emergency and was able to restart the engine and divert to Edmonton International Airport. One engine was replaced for damage and the second was repaired.
