Incident at Vicinity of Sioux Narrows, Ontario

Summary

1996-12-09: The crew of Canadian 901 advised Winnipeg ACC that while climbing from FL310 to FL350 in the vicinity of Sioux Narrows, a wind screen cracked. The crew descended to FL270 and after evaluating the situation elected to continue to Calgary which was their destination. The aircraft was enroute from Ottawa on a routine scheduled flight. Maintenance determined that the outer pane of the windscreen was cracked. The windscreen was replaced and the aircraft was returned to service. Also reported as 96O0565.
