Incident at Winnipeg, Manitoba
Summary
1996-12-03: On approach into Island Lake, Manitoba, the right engine of a Perimeter Airlines Metro II (C-FSLZ) would not come back to flight idle. The aircraft landed without incident and the aircraft was ferried back to Winnipeg for repair. On approach into Winnipeg, the right engine again would not come back to flight idle and flight crew elected to shut the engine down. The aircraft landed without incident. The problem is suspected to be a fault in the engine's fuel control unit. The company will be submitting an SDR.
