Incident at EDMONTON INTL AB (CYEG)
Summary
1996-11-25: While Westjet 143 was in the loading process, a family dispute erupted. A female passenger suggested to her parents and boyfriend that she had a bomb stowed in her suitcase. The woman was arrested. The aircraft was deplaned and immediately pushed back to a safe area where airport officials conducted a complete search of the aircraft and luggage. No bomb was found. The aircraft was re-dispatched and departed for Vancouver with a crew of 5 and 73 passengers on board.
