Accident at PRINCE ALBERT (GLASS FIELD) SK (CYPA)
Summary
1996-11-22: The aircraft was on a local test flight after regular scheduled maintenance had been accomplished. The aircraft with two pilots on board had been flown for approximately one hour when the pilots returned to Prince Albert for a normal circuit and landing. It was reported that as the nose gear came in contact with the runway, the left main gear retracted which caused the aircraft to slide off the south side of runway 26. A NOTAM was issued, advising that the aircraft was off the side of the runway. The crew reported a three green gear down indication prior to landing. After inspection, company maintenance determined that the micro switch may have been out of adjustment. Update to follow.
