Incident at Winnipeg, Manitoba

Summary

1996-10-31: The pilot of RAVN3, a DND T114 Tutor requested a visual inspection of the landing gear. A fly by of the tower was conducted. Tower personnel advised the pilot that the gear appeared to be up, however the gear doors remained open. The pilot then declared an emergency. ERS was on standby. The pilot landed the aircraft without further incident and came to a complete stop on the runway. Gear locking pins were installed prior to the aircraft being taxied to the ramp area. There were no significant delays to other flights.
