Incident at Sioux Lookout, Ontario


1996-09-17: Voyageur 793, a Beech A100, was on approach to Sioux Lookout, Ontario after a medevac flight from Winnipeg. When the crew selected the landing gear down, the gear would not extend. The crew flew the aircraft back to Winnipeg, extended the landing gear by the emergency procedure, and landed without further incident. The landing gear motor controller, which had been in service 49 hours since overhaul, was found to have burnt points. An SDR has been filed with Transport Canada.
