Incident at Island Lake, Manitoba
Summary
1996-09-18: Perimeter 139, a Swearingen SA-226TC Metro, was on approach to runway 12 at Island Lake, Manitoba, after a flight from St. Theresa Point, when the port engine lost power and the propeller feathered. The crew secured the engine, landed the aircraft without further incident, and taxied to the ramp. The engine is being replaced and will be torn down to determine the cause of the malfunction.
