Incident at 90 Miles SE of Winnipeg, Manitoba

Summary

1996-09-09: The aircraft was enroute Anchorage to Chicago O'Hare when the crew reported an electrical failure as the flight approached the international boundary between Canada and the USA. The crew requested and were given descent to FL310. The aircraft was then handed off to Minneapolis Centre. Moments later the target appeared to return to normal operation. Minneapolis Centre then re-cleared UAL676 to maintain FL330. No other aircraft were inconvenienced.
