Accident at Prospect Lake, Ontario

1996-08-27: The Cessna 337G, C-FIGS, was returning from an aerial application (forestry) bird dog mission. The pilot normally extends the landing gear on the downwind circuit leg, but on this occasion, he reportedly forgot to do so. The pilot completed a (power-on) short-field approach to the gravel runway and touched down with the landing gear retracted. The gear warning horn reportedly activates when the power is reduced to idle. Neither the pilot nor the one passenger were injured. The aircraft sustained damage to its belly and propellers.
