Accident at North Battleford, Saskatchewan 30 MI W
Summary
1996-08-27: The pilot of a PA25-150 Pawnee Spray Plane (C-FMDN) had just completed his third pass over a field approximately 30 miles west of North Battleford. As he pulled up to complete a climbing turn, the aircraft struck a power line at the east end of the field. The impact with the power line damaged the wing and vertical stabilizer and caused the pilot some difficulty in controlling the aircraft. As a result the pilot landed the plane on a local road; no one was injured in the occurrence and there was no environmental effect. Visibility was likely a factor in that the spray run was being conducted towards the east and into the rising sun.
