Accident at Dirty Water Lake, Ontario

Summary

1996-08-02: The pilot and one passenger in a Cessna U206, N200TL, were landing at Dirty Water Lake, Ontario, on a fishing expedition. The pilot was reportedly attempting a glassy water landing, and after the second touchdown, the aircraft yawed to the left, the wing tip struck the water, and the aircraft capsized. The pilot and passenger sustained only minor injuries, and were able to escape via the passenger door and window. They were rescued by nearby fishermen and taken to shore.
