Incident at Thompson, Manitoba (Aerodrome, runway or taxiway shutdown)


1996-08-02: The aircraft landed and the pilot reported that he had a flat tire which required runway 05 to be closed till 2309Z. No other aircraft were inconvenienced. At 2248Z an unauthorized pedestrian who is a pilot with the Manitoba Government Air Division went to investigate the disabled aircraft. The airport manager at Thompson is in the process of discussing this circumstance with the pilot.
