Incident at NESTOR FALLS, ONTARIO
Summary
1996-06-18: The pilot of the float-equipped Beech 18 aircraft, was taking off from the surface of a narrow lake. There was a strong crosswind from the left side and during the take-off run a gust of wind reportedly caught the aircraft causing a sharp change in direction. The pilot was unable to correct for the change in direction in sufficient time and the aircraft ran up onto the shoreline whereupon it came to a stop. There were no injuries, however the bottom of the floats were damaged by contact with the rocks and shore.
