Accident at ROSETOWN SK (CJX4)

Summary

1996-07-07: The pilot of a single place Piper Pawnee returned to Rosetown after completing a series of spray runs. Because of a strong cross wind component the pilot elected to land on a taxiway at the airport in Rosetown. Shortly after touchdown the main gear hit a bump which caused the aircraft to become airborne. However the wheels struck an adjacent railway track. The aircraft struck the ground in a nose down attitude. The pilot was uninjured, however the aircraft was substantially damaged.
