Accident at VICINITY OF PENSE,SASKATCHEWAN

Summary

1996-06-30: The S-2R (Thrush) was crop spraying 7 miles south of Pense (17 miles west of Regina). The pilot had pulled up over some trees and a granary prior to starting the run. He then descended and as he was levelling off the aircraft struck the ground. The pilot suffered a minor injury to his finger but the aircraft caught fire and was destroyed. Weather - CYQR 010200Z, 11009KT, 15SM, FEW 040TCU, BKN 270, 21/11, A2996. TSB update to follow.
