Incident at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan

1996-06-24: The Beech 1900 on approach to Saskatoon experienced a flap failure. An uneventful flapless landing was carried out at Saskatoon. Maintenance replaced a faulty flap gearbox and a burned out relay. The split flap switch was cleaned and adjusted. In this instance, because the flap gearbox had internal damage, the split flap switch worked as advertised and prevented a split flap condition.
