Incident at Churchill, Manitoba


1996-06-19: The crew of NAM955 advised Churchill radio that due to starboard engine overheating they had shut down and secured the affected power plant and were continuing to Churchill. The aircraft at this time was 24 miles north of Churchill. An uneventful landing was accomplished without further incident. The aircraft is hangared and undergoing maintenace inspections. UPDATE: Maintenance inspection found a faulty engine overheat sensor.
