Incident at Yorkton, Saskatchewan

Summary

1996-06-18: Air Canada Flight 254 DC-9 service departed Edmonton enroute Winnipeg via Yorkton and Langruth. There was a crew of five and 73 passengers on board. Just north of Yorkton the crew advised ACC that they were making an emergency decent due to pressurization problems. The aircraft continued to Winnipeg at 10,000 feet where an uneventful landing was accomplished at 0246Z. Company maintenance replaced the number 1 pressurization controller and the aircraft was returned to service.
