Incident at Sandy Lake, Ontario
Summary
1996-05-27: The Cessna 185, C-GEHJ, had departed Deer Lake enroute Weagamow Lake, and was about 15 minutes into the flight when the engine began to run rough. The pilot elected to divert to Sandy Lake and make a precautionary landing. After an uneventful landing, examination revealved that approximately 8 inches of one prop blade was missing. The engine exhaust system had also broken from the subsequent vibration caused by the unbalanced propellor.
