Incident at Regina, Saskatchewan
Summary
1996-05-08: While enroute Winnipeg from Vancouver, the crew of ACA264 advised ATC that they were diverting to Regina because of a suspected fuel leak. ERS was called out and the aircraft landed without further incident. Maintenance inspection revealed a fuel leak in the left engine. TSB will update. UPDATE: Maintenance found a fuel leak eminating from the integrated drive generator (IDG) line on the left engine fuel metering unit (FMU). The leak was caused by a blown gasket on the FMU. The gasket was replaced, a FADEC monitoring test and ground run was carried out and the aircraft was returned to service.
