Summary

1996-04-30: The crew of ABS5T, a Beech 1900, which was on a training flight advised Tower that they were initiating a shut down of the starboard engine (right) because of an engine fire warning light. The aircraft was landed at 1711Z without further incident. UPDATE: Maintenance inspection revealed that the fire detection loop for the No.2 engine had failed. The detection loop was replaced and the aircraft returned to service.
