Incident at Churchill, Manitoba
Summary
1996-04-23: The crew of NAM955, C-FFFS, reported a janitrol heater fire while taxiing for departure on runway 15 at Churchill. The aircraft was shut down on the runway. ERS responded, the aircraft was taxied back to the hangar once the fire chief inspected the aircraft and determined that the fire was out. Fire was contained to the janitrol heater only. The unit is being replaced and the aircraft will be serviceable once repairs to the janitrol are completed.
