Incident at Granville Lake, Manitoba
Summary
1996-03-25: After a normal landing on the frozen lake surface, the left landing gear strut broke at the rear top bolt hole. The ski-equipped aircraft came to stop about 100 feet later. Damage to the aircraft was minor. There were no injuries. Snow conditions were reportedly smooth and the wind was light at less than five knots. The gear strut will be examined and an SDR submitted to TC.
