Incident at Saskatoon, Saskatchewan
Summary
1996-03-17: The pilot advised Saskatoon Terminal that he was diverting to Saskatoon from his position - 20 miles west because of engine problems. The pilot further advised that the engine had been shut down and the engine feathered. The pilot landed his aircraft on runway 27 at 0109Z without further incident. Maintenance inspection revealed a blown cylinder which may have been the result of a cracked engine block. The engine is being replaced.
