Accident at 58 Miles NW of Red Lake, Ont.

Summary

1996-03-09: The pilot and one passenger departed Red Lake on a VFR flight to Schultz Lake, Ontario. The pilot, after over flying the lake to determine wind and surface conditions landed his ski-equipped J3 cub. Moments after touch down, as the weight of the aircraft settled, the skiis dug into the snow and caused the aircraft to come to rest inverted. The aircraft was substantially damaged, neither the pilot or his passenger were injured.
