Incident at Regina, Saskatchewan

Summary

1997-06-06: The crew of ROY210, a B727, rejected the take off at Regina due to a fire warning indication on the number 3 engine. ERS responded, however there was no fire or smoke observed from the aircraft. The aircraft is parked on the ramp at Regina awaiting company maintenance personnel who are enroute from Montreal. They will inspect the engine and the ducting system. UPDATE: The Maintenance personnel conducted pneumatic leak checks and fire warning tests, and determined that the systems checked serviceable. The company is submitting an SDN to Transport Canada.
