Incident at Churchill, Manitoba


1997-06-06: The aircraft departed Churchill enroute Rankin Inlet. The crew advised air radio that they were unable to retract the landing gear. The crew then did a fly by and were advised by air radio personnel, that the nose gear was up and that the main gear was partially extended. The crew then recycled the gear and received a gear down indication. After completing another fly by the aircraft landed safely at 2146Z. There were no injuries or damage to the aircraft. After consulting with the company maintenance, the aircraft was ferried to Rankin Inlet with the gear extended. TSB are investigating the landing gear irregularity.
