Incident at Rankin Inlet, NWT
Summary
1997-06-06: Shortly after departure, gear retraction was selected and the nose gear would not lock up. The gear was re-extended and the crew returned and landed at Rankin. Maintenance determined that the cold had caused the nitrogen to leak from the nose gear oleo. Nitrogen was added to the system and the aircraft was returned to service.
