Incident at Winnipeg, Manitoba
Summary
1997-06-06: The crew of KFA277 advised Winnipeg Tower that they were on a missed approach for runway 18 at Winnipeg because of an unsafe gear indication. The crew then did a fly by of the Tower so that ground personnel could visually check to see if the gear appeared to be down and locked. Once this was accomplished the aircraft was landed on runway 18 without further incident. This was the culmination of a regular scheduled freight haul from Mirabel International to Winnipeg. ERS was advised and two aircraft were slightly delayed.
