Incident at St. Andrews, Manitoba (Incursion - runway - animal)
Summary
1997-06-06: The pilot of SOW304, a PA31 Navajo, aborted the landing at St. Andrews because of a deer on the active runway, which was 18. The pilot after the pull up and go around, landed safely without further incident. The airport authority places bales of hay around the perimeter airport fence. This in theory allows the deer to feed and deters them from entering onto the airport property.
