Incident at Winnipeg, Manitoba

1997-06-06: The crew of MNS1T Trainer Flight advised Winnipeg Tower that they had an unsafe gear indication. The crew did a fly by of the Tower so that ground personnel with the aid of binoculars could better determine whether or not the gear appeared to be down and locked. The crew were told that the gear seemed normal so they elected to land on runway 25. The landing was uneventful; ERS was standing by, cold weather is suspected.
