Incident at Deer Lake, NF.

1996-12-19: The Air Nova Dash 8 , ARN829, had just departed Deer Lake enroute to Halifax when the #2 Hydraulic system lost pressure. The landing gear could not be retracted due to this fault. A diversion was made to Sydney, N.S. due to an increase in fuel burn caused by the drag of the extended landing gear. The aircraft landed in Sydney without further incident. TSB closed.
