Incident at HALIFAX / STANFIELD INTL NS (CYHZ)
Summary
1996-12-17: *Vountary Report* The aircraft had just departed Halifax enroute to Saint John when the crew observed that the Altimeter, Airspeed Indicator and Vertical Speed Indicator were not working. The crew requested and received clearance to return to the airport where they landed without incident. An Inspection of the aircraft revealed that masking tape placed over the static ports the previous evening during a cleaning operation had not been removed. The operator has taken action to prevent the recurrence of this type of incident. TSB closed.
