Incident at GANDER INTL NL (CYQX)
Summary
1996-11-12: The aircraft was about to land on Rwy 22 when the tower was advised that there were problems with the right gear. The aircraft completed two circuits and the problem was sorted out. At 1941z the VC-10 landed on Rwy 22 uneventfully while ERS was in standby mode. At 1950z RRR2570 advised there was DAC on board, coordinated with ERSnad the aircraft was parked in the Holding Bay of Taxi "A". DM was later advised that the aircraft was carrying 3000 lbs. of explosives. TSB no involvement.
