Summary
1996-10-16: While enroute to Europe from JFK, the pilot advised that the #3 engine was shut down requesting descent from FL370. ATC was unable clearance due traffic so the flight descended in accordance with the contigency procedures. Upon reaching FL290 the aircraft was cleared to Boston.
