Incident at 54N / 50W
Summary
1996-09-09: The B767, AAL46 was on a flight from Chicago to London at FL310. While passing 54N/50W the crew requested to divert to Gander due to a runaway water problem in the lavatory causing massive flooding. They were concerned that the water may affect electrical equipment. No emergency declared or assistance required. The aircraft landed safely at 04:35z. Maintenance drained the holding tanks and returned the aircraft to service. TSB closed.
