Incident at Halifax, N.S.
Summary
1996-07-18: On landing the aircraft sustained a #1 tire blowout. The aircraft stopped on the ruwnay and the crew requested ERS due to possible smoke and fire. The ERS determined that there was no smoke or fire. Maintenance determined that the tire had failed due to non-rotation during the landing. The antiskid system was tested and found serviceable. The left main wheel brake assemblies, as well as the #2 tire were replaced. TSB case closed.
