Incident at 4907N 06812W
Summary
1996-06-20: The Rockwell Sabreliner, N670AS, departed Goosebay enroute to Kansas City. At FL350 the crew smelled smoke in the cabin. Although there was no visual confirmation of smoke, the crew declared an emergency, commenced an emergency descent, was vectored to Baie Comeau and landed without further incident. It was determined that a thermostat in the pressurization/heating system stuck open. The aircraft departed Baie Comeau unpressurized enroute to Kansas City where the thermostat will be replaced.
