Incident at WABUSH NL (CYWK)

Summary

1996-06-09: At 1313z the Bell 206 departed Wabush and proceeded southbound climbing to an estimated 3000 feet AGL. The aircraft continued west for 4-5nm then turned east and crossed just north of the airport at 1300z. A flight note filed with St.John's FSS indicated the helicopter proposed to land in Churchill at 1030z. The attempt to contact C-GETF on 122.0, 126.7, 121.5, and 5680 yielded no reply. TSB no involvement.
